Mustrum
snow spotted Bengal
born 30 September 1998

Mustrum encapsulates the essence of a cat. There’s just something about his gurt lumpness, although he’s quite capable of being a baby kitten as well. Huge and spotty and [whisper] not very bright, with eyes that are too pale, and a tail that is too long.

he was a teenager for a long time, going with his baseball cap on backwards and drinking Bacardi Breezers, but now he’s pretty much a home boy. He loves to be fussed, and emits an endearing squeak when you stop. He also adores being towelled roughly when he’s been out in the rain, and gets completely over-excited, to the point where he bites you. Which is nice.

Mustrum also gurgles, which is - lets face it - pretty strange for a cat. He often shouts “Harro” when he comes in. It turns out he was well named, as he’s very fond of big dinners, and lots of them.

He is absolutely the best cat to have around when you can’t sleep, as a gurt grey lump is wonderful to cuddle. Of course, he’s quite likely to turn round and bite you in the night without any warning. But then, after all, he is a cat …
